Dataiku Unveils Managed Version of Data Analytics Platform

By Laura Stotler

Dataiku has rolled out a fully managed version of its Dataiku data science platform called Dataiku Online. The new offering lets customers turn raw data into advanced analytics, run data visualization tasks, train machine learning models and create data-backed dashboards, all through a fully managed and hosted solution.

The Dataiku platform may be used by data scientists, business analysts or non-technical workers looking to extract value from raw data. It may be installed as an in-house software solution and can also be run on a cloud instance. The new Dataiku Online option has the company managing setup and infrastructure for customers as a managed service.

“Customers using Dataiku Online get all the same features that our on-premises and cloud instances provide, so everything from data preparation and visualization to advanced data analytics and machine learning capabilities,” said Florian Douetteau, co-founder and CEO of Dataiku. “We’re really focused on getting startups and SMBs on the platform — there’s a perception that small or early-stage companies don’t have the resources or technical expertise to get value from AI projects, but that’s simply not true. Even small teams that lack data scientists or specialty ML engineers can use our platform to do a lot of the technical heavy lifting, so they can focus on actually operationalizing AI in their business.”

Dataiku Online comes with a variety of pre-built connectors. Customers may connect to a cloud data warehouse, including Snowflake Data Cloud, Amazon Redshift and Google Big Query. The platform may also be connected to SQL databases including MySQL and PostgreSWL, or can be run on CSV files stored on Amazon S3.

Dataiku already has more than 400 customers, including BNP Paribas, Cisco, GE, Merck, NXP Semiconductors, Schlumberger and Unilever.
