Netwrix/Stealthbits Join Forces to Manage Data Breach Crisis

By Luke Bellos

2020 ushered in an unprecedented influx of web traffic due to the global pandemic, and users' data has become more vulnerable as hackers look for new ways to infiltrate networks.

Two cybersecurity firms, Netwrix and Stealthbits, announced a merger to develop a packaged security solution that addresses the growing concerns of data breaching and cyber attacks. By joining forces, the companies can take a unified approach to security solutions, and provide software that will identify, attack, and resolve cyber attacks all in one platform. The merger will offer seven core products spanning all elements of data and information security, with improved user experience and product capabilities.

Steve Dickson, CEO at Netwrix, made a statement about the recent decision to join with Stealthbits.

"Stealthbits has always been driven to work with our customers to solve their most challenging credential and data security requirements. Combining our breadth of products and depth of expertise with that of Netwrix means our customers can quickly strengthen their security posture and address multiple projects and requirements through a single provider," said Steve Cochran, founder and chairman of Stealthbits.

The companies plan to keep Netwrix as the operating title for the organization and Steve Dickson will remain CEO to the team of more than 500 employees. Dickson will also be serving on the Board of Directors.

At this time, Netwrix and Stealthbits will continue to operate under normal conditions as plans continue to develop over the next few months.
