Secure64, cyan AG Tackle Pandemic-Induced Cybersecurity Threats

By Luke Bellos

The technological renaissance that our world is currently enjoying has made life beneficial to global business and commerce, and has proved to be especially useful in the midst of an ongoing pandemic. It’s somewhat comforting to know that despite so much going wrong in 2020, most workers can deploy high-tech resources to manage their jobs in reasonable capacity. These are certainly not ideal circumstances, but human innovation and novel business solutions have made it possible to press forward and keep the world turning. As we approach the first year anniversary of the pandemic, Cybersecurity experts are starting to observe new dangers for remote users who lack the typical safeguards they have for their office network. Concerns are being raised about the fact that security limitations while working at home could leave some workers vulnerable to malware, phishing scams, and other methods of attack from virtual intruders.

Unfortunately for hackers and scammers, necessity is the mother of invention. Secure64 and cyanAG have recently partnered to create a content filtering security solution that can work across all devices. The DNS-based program defends mobile, residential, education, government and business customers whether they are on or off the carrier’s network, giving users peace of mind while working from any location. This could be a key component to solidifying remote access as a reliable alternative to hard-wired office setups, and gives users the freedom to work in a way that’s safe and secure.

“In light of the recent rise in cyber threats and network demands resulting from the Covid19 crisis, CSPs are under immense pressure from business, government, education and consumer subscribers to better protect them against malicious activity,” says Secure64 CEO Steve Goodbarn. “By combining our two best-in-class solutions, Secure64 and cyan are able to offer our CSP customers a new opportunity to increase ARPU through the added security and content filtering features their subscribers demand. This solution is light on the network, simple, effective and low cost for users. We are very excited by what we have accomplished with cyan and look forward to continuing to develop our partnership.”

Secure64 specializes in DNS-based security, and produces advanced IT solutions for a range of clients, such as government agencies and business enterprises across the world. Similarly, cyan AG offers products and services in cybersecurity, but also deals in research and development to understand current trends in the B2B space. Both companies hope to give users quality protection for the upcoming months, so that risks can be minimized without the reliance of hard-wired security systems workers typically rely on.

"The joint product will provide a full DNS-based security solution for telecom companies, with cyan software directly pre-integrated into the Secure64-DNS software,” said Markus Cserna, CTO of cyan AG. “The integration times in telecommunication networks can be reduced considerably by this approach. In addition, the joint solution will further increase security and quality, for example to increase the reliability of systems."

The new subscription-based service is available the first quarter of 2021, so customers can start the New Year with a safer and more secure start.
