Accenture Purchases Madrid-Based Managed Service Provider

Accenture Purchases Madrid-Based Managed Service Provider

By Tracey E. Schelmetic

Accenture has been on something of an acquisition spree as of late. The Dublin, Ireland-based multinational professional services company recently announced its acquisition of Enimbos, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) consulting firm and Top 200 Public Cloud MSP. The acquisition is Accenture’s fifth this month alone, and the 25th this year. (Its most recent purchase was Atlanta-based sales firm N3, a provider of technology that uses AI and machine learning to help customers increase their business-to-business (B2B) sales efficiencies.)

Spain-based Enimbos is an AWS Premier Consulting Partner with more than 130 AWS certifications and has strong relationships with other cloud providers, bringing a total of more than 260 cloud-related certifications. The company provides services in both Spain and Portugal. In addition to cloud migration services, Enimbos also offers cloud modernization services, standardized multi-cloud managed services, and cloud governance and optimization. Enimbos is headquartered in Madrid, with additional offices in Cáceres, Mérida and Barcelona in Spain, and in Aveiro and Lisbon in Portugal.

In addition to the AWS relationship, Enimbos also works with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and more. Financial terms of the acquisition by Accenture were not disclosed, but the deal follows Accenture’s recent announcement of a $3 billion investment to help clients rapidly become “cloud-first” businesses and accelerate their digital transformations. The company’s new investment strategy, Accenture Cloud First, will be led by Karthik Narain and include a new multi-service group of 70,000 cloud professionals.

“The acquisition of Enimbos brings more cloud-native skills and experience to our growing Cloud First organization,” said Narain in a statement. “We’ve learned from more than 34,000 cloud projects that a cloud-first strategy begins with creating a holistic cloud journey that influences many aspects of a client’s business, including their applications, infrastructure, talent and surrounding cloud ecosystem. Cloud-native capabilities are essential to designing next-generation systems that power the innovation that businesses need today at speed and at scale.”
