IR Enhances Prognosis for UC

By Paula Bernier

IR has upgraded its Prognosis for UC solution with new capabilities aimed at allowing service providers to more easily do service assurance.

The company has enhanced network assessment and testing for managed services, private cloud, and UCaaS offerings based on Cisco, Cisco HCS, Microsoft Skype for Business, and Microsoft Teams. It’s expanded reporting and analytics for Cisco and Skype environments. That will provide to improved insights for greater customer success and better SLA management.

IR also with this release streamlined new customer deployment and onboarding. That allows for more efficient multitenancy management and operations. Plus it now allows for the secure management of multiple customers and vendor environments via a single interface.

Prognosis also has alert management that’s integrated with ITSM and other operational management systems. Users can customize their alerts, recommended actions, and monitoring thresholds. It is compliant with FIPS 140.2 security standards and has third-party GDPR certification.

It does real-time monitoring and alerting of customer thresholds. It provides detailed but streamlined analytics, dashboards, and reporting. And its end-to-end visibility helps carriers quickly and easily find the cause of problems and see user experience degradation.

“Before we had a lack of visibility into customer issues because we had to wait for them to report anything that went wrong,” Augustin Ramazani, head of operational unit for Unified Collaboration Services at Telindus. “Limited troubleshooting capability and prolonged time to troubleshoot made resolving issues difficult, with limited reports available exacerbating the issues even more. With Prognosis, we save two hours every morning on our daily status reports alone. What used to be a manual sanity check from our engineers is now automated by Prognosis and troubleshooting takes half the time, helping us perform against our SLAs.” ?

IR’s Director of Service Providers Ed Brooks will speak at MSP Expo. He’ll present about “Managed Services Opportunities for Cloud and Hybrid Voice & Unified Communications,” Jan. 30 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
