Blueface Introduces Simplified Video Conferencing Platform

By Mandi Nowitz

Once Blueface and Star2Star Communications joined forces in January, the big question was: what’s next? The wait is over as Blueface announced a new video conferencing service leveraging WebRTC technology, Blueface Video Conferencing.

There is nothing to download for Blueface users. Rather, the solution can be accessed from the existing Blueface Unified Communications Portal and available on mobile devices and desktop computers.

Features included in Blueface Video Conferencing are:

  • The ability to schedule group calls and invite other users
  • Screen sharing collaboration
  • Instant messaging
  • Safeguarded with Blueface AI Anti-Fraud- this senses malicious cyber-attacks, securing customer meetings

While introducing this new offering, Alan Foy, Chief Executive of Blueface, said: “We looked at what was available in the market, and decided to build our own video collaboration platform. This new service will be a game changer for Blueface in Europe, as the market has been underserved with video conferencing services. Ultimately this is a brand new product for European customers, and we think they will definitely embrace it.”

Video conferencing is a huge market right now, with the global market worth an estimated at a CAGR of 8.6 percent between 2017 and 2025.

Known as a VoIP phone system solution, getting into the UC venue and now the video conferencing platform is just a gradual and strategic business move for Blueface since its integration with Star2Star.

What is next on the horizon for the company is anybody’s guess but it will be exciting to see. WebRTC enables communication at the click of the mouse, from the contact center to the c-suite its value is clear to see.

What video conferencing platform does your business utilize?
