Yorktel Gets Certification of Approval from Cisco

By Alicia Young

Cisco’s Cloud and Managed Services Program (CMSP) is a comprehensive framework through which partners offer enterprise-class cloud, managed, or virtual managed services based on Cisco technologies. Cisco is a big name in the industry, so becoming part of its program is a goal that several companies strive to meet.

However, earning the coveted “Cisco Powered” designation is incredibly hard; partners must complete an objective, thorough third-party audit of each service in order to prove that they meet defined, enterprise-class standards. These regulations ensure that only the best are involved in the program and, recently, another company was added to the list.

Yorktel, a provider of unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), cloud and video managed services, announced yesterday that it has been granted the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification, and designation for TelePresence as a Service (TPaaS) Specialization.

Choosing managed service providers they can rely on is becoming increasingly important for customers. Yorktel Vice President of UC strategy, Denise Lage, highlighted this concept by saying, “In a fast-moving, volatile climate, enterprises demand solutions that are flexible, scalable, always available, and consistently provide optimal performance…Across the board, our customers are looking to cloud and managed services in search of agility, by way of consuming technology that can accelerate their growth while also reducing costs.”

Now that Yorktel is “Cisco Powered,” it can reap all the benefits that come with the designation. Customers turn to Cisco because its cloud services are “enterprise class,” and because they are based on validated design architectures along with partner and service certifications which provide customers with faster returns on their investments. These fast returns, along with stellar performances and ongoing innovation, are what inevitably draw customers to the Cisco solutions. Consequently, companies like Yorktel that have received Cisco’s certification are automatically seen as reliable.

“The ability to align with Cisco is an invaluable, empowering distinction that not only validates our position as a global leader in cloud-based video, unified communications and collaboration, but that will also serve as a catalyst for continued market penetration,” Lage stated. It looks like Yorktel is off to a great start in 2017.

Vishal Brown, Vice President, Professional Services at Yorktel will take part in a few industry panels during ITEXPO in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. happening Feb 8-10 and adressing topics suchs as collaboration and digital transformation and how to make Skype for Work a success at your business.
