For organizations with a digital presence, the risks in today’s highly complex and interconnected world are increasing at an alarming rate. The threat actors can come from anywhere, and they are relentless in their pursuit to exploit any vulnerability when a target has been acquired. This has led to an increase of companies that specialize in security services, which are now consolidating to bring together the talent and technologies to protect their clients. The latest acquisition was just made by Delta Risk LLC of Allied InfoSecurity, a security consulting services firm.
With this acquisition, Delta will now have access to the large customer base Allied InfoSecurity has in the healthcare industry, as well as its technology, which will improve marketplace demands, manage information security programs, mitigate risk and respond to regulatory compliances.
Allied InfoSecurity provides a full range of information security assessment capabilities and service by crafting the right security strategy for each organization. Some of the professional services the company provides include: program assessment, certification and audits readiness; security strategy, policy and process development; employee awareness and training; business continuity and disaster recovery planning and more.
Delta Risk has been providing solutions to improve the cyber security operational capability of organizations as well as protecting business operations since it was formed in 2007. The high-impact cyber security and risk management services it provides are used by public and private entities globally.
"Threats and risks continue to grow at an unprecedented pace, and the acquisition of Allied InfoSecurity adds additional capabilities to Delta Risk's highly experienced team of security professionals who are committed to helping clients address today's cyber challenges with trusted security programs," said Michael Chertoff, executive chairman and co-founder of The Chertoff Group, and a member of Delta Risk's Board of Directors.
The core expertises of Delta Risk are: strategic consulting and policy; exercise planning and execution; specialized cyber assessments; and training and workforce development. This comprehensive approach has been developed to greatly lower the chances of any security breach, and recover in as little time as possible if an event does take place.
The company helps define the cyber security strategies and risk management approaches by involving everyone within an organization, from the CEO on down, with technical drills for attackers and defenders to large-scale national cyber exercises.
The acquisition was finalized, but terms of the deal were not disclosed.
