IndependenceIT Recognized for Delivering Supported DaaS to MSPs and Other Partners

Desktop as a service (DaaS) specialist IndependenceIT has been singled out as a Vendor to Watch by Enterprise Management Associates (EMA). The research firm has recognized the company based on its problem solving skills and ability to deliver unique customer value.

IndependenceIT offers an integrated workspace automation software platform that enables MSPs, IT departments and ISVs to offer their users and customers workspaces, applications and desktops delivered as a service. EMA singled out the company for its Cloud Workspace Suite 4.1 solution, which incorporates workflow automation along with Microsoft RemoteApp management.

According to EMA, adoption rates of cloud-hosted desktop solutions have doubled during the past two years. The research firm finds that as ISVs and third-party services providers have had to deal with reduced vendor support when delivering DaaS and hosted desktop services as a result of vendors in the space focusing on their own cloud-hosting environments. As a result, companies like IndependenceIT that specialize in supporting third-party service management are taking advantage of new opportunities.

"As detailed in our report, EMA believes IndependenceIT's attention to the service provider and ISV community along with its aggressive development roadmap for workspace enablement warrants recognition as a Vendor to Watch," said Steve Brasen, research director at EMA. "EMA recommends that any organization seeking to improve user productivity and workspace reliability adopt the Cloud Workspace Suite from one of its many channel partners."

Just last month, IndependenceIT announced an enhanced partner program in support of ISVs, MSPs and VARs. Upgrades include a new two-tier partner ecosystem along with professional service and technical support groups designed to help partners streamline service development and delivery.

Additional benefits of the company’s Cloud Workspace Suite include support for vCloud Air and vCloud Director, enabling centralized provisioning and management from the Cloud Workspace Suite console. Users may also create and manage multi-tenant, session-based workspaces within a variety of cloud environments using the solution. The result is that administrators may easily manage multiple virtual infrastructures and stay on top of user, policy and workflow management across a broad range of virtual infrastructure resources.
