Peak 10, Inc., an IT infrastructure company providing cloud computing solutions, data center services and managed services, has announced a partnership with Level 3 Communications, a multinational telecom and Internet service provider, to distribute the latter company’s Cloud Connect Solutions — Ethernet to Peak 10 customers.
This service provides a private, scalable Ethernet connection into the Peak 10 cloud, enabling companies to evolve from traditional hardware-based environments and move operations into the cloud while benefitting from the performance and security of Ethernet technology. The implementation of a private Ethernet connection provides companies with maximum visibility, flexibility and control, regardless of the physical distance between the company, and a corresponding Peak 10 facility. The company’s cloud data centers are entirely compliant with PCI and HIPAA regulations.
“We are excited to work with Peak 10 to provide their customers with a secure, dedicated and private connection the cloud,” said Brian Hoekelman, Vice President of Business and Cloud Ecosystem Development at Level 3 Communications. “As users continue to accelerate their adoption of cloud services, Cloud Connect Solutions — Ethernet delivers the resilient, secure and predictable network connections they need. The result is a seamlessly managed connection for the customer so they can focus on improving their business performance.”
By offering its customers a direct Ethernet connection to and through its cloud data centers, Peak 10 facilitates an overall more efficient and simplistic network experience that enables smooth operations. Furthermore, the new service eliminates cumbersome distance-sensitive pricing models in favor of a flat rate, and provides an opportunity to responsively scale bandwidth on-demand according to evolving business needs.
The partnership also grants Peak 10’s cloud and data center customers access to many other Level 3 networking services, further expanding the value of adopting the company’s solutions. Implementing connections to a cloud data center has been shown to help companies significantly reduce costs while improving efficiency in terms of managing both data employees’ time. Peak 10 currently operates data centers in ten U.S. markets and serves a variety of customers all around the world.
