Zetta.net: 431 Percent Growth of MSP Partner Network in 2014

By Clayton Hamshar

Zetta.net, a cloud backup and disaster recovery (BDR) technology company, recently announced that it grew its managed service provider (MSP) partner network by 431 percent in 2014, a major increase over the already-impressive 310 percent growth experienced in 2013.

The company has encountered substantial demand for its cloud backup services as it becomes increasingly important for MSPs to find a solution that can move large amounts of dat quickly without the need for a backup appliance or any other hardware. According to the company, it’s solution can transfer as much as 5 TB within a 24 hour period, partially thanks to built-in wide area network (WAN) technologies. Zetta’s direct-to-cloud approach is much faster to deploy and manage compared to most alternatives, and in the event of a disaster the recovery delay of waiting for a replacement appliance can be avoided entirely. Furthermore, operating in the cloud allows the service to scale infinitely as customers’ data requirements grow.

“MSPs no longer want the added cost and complexity of having to manage extra hardware or their own data center,” said Ali Jenab, CEO of Zetta.net. “We're dedicated to providing MSPs advanced technologies that will help them reduce management overhead so they can focus on growing their business and thrive.”

Zetta.net sweetened the deal for MSP partners with a few other useful features, such as the addition of white-labeling options, interoperation with remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional services automation (PSA) solutions and an upgrade to its partner management console so MSPs can more easily manage their customers’ backup environments.

The company’s solution has garnered industry acclaim, winning CRN’s 2014 Cloud Computing Product of the Year Award and placing among its list of the 100 Coolest Cloud Computing Vendors of 2015. It was also a finalist in Storage magazine’s 2014 Products of the Year Awards.

Zetta.net is just one of many companies capitalizing on the rapidly growing cloud BDR market, which exceeded $2 billion in revenues in 2013. Asigra’s Hybrid Partner Program, the Carbonite partner program and Intronis’ ECHOplatform are three other major programs available to MSPs.
