SageNet Achieves Fortinet MSSP Platinum Status for Network Security

By Laura Stotler

MSP SageNet has achieved a high ranking network security status through Fortinet’s certification and training program. The company has been rated with elite Platinum Status as a Fortinet Managed Security Service Provider.

Fortinet specializes in network security appliances and offers the certification program to MSPs that meet its stringent training and audit requirements. The Platinum MSSP status is a major boon for SageNet, which offers cloud and premise-based firewall solutions and services. The company provides content filtering, intrusion prevention services (IPS) anti-spam and anti-virus solutions. Offerings are delivered through unified management portal that enables the company’s customers to easily view and manage their network security status.

“As daily headlines remind us, network security must be a top priority for corporate and government enterprises, said Brad Wise, president of SageNet. “Fortinet’s industry-leading products and services are a perfect fit for our end-to-end managed network solutions, and we’re proud to have them as part of our network security team.”

Fortinet made a key alliance of its own this week, joining HP’s AllianceOne Partner program with HP networking Specialization. The designation enables Fortinet to deliver pre-integrated SDN-optimized security offerings as an enhancement to HP’s SDN security portfolio. Solutions use the company’s FortiGate security appliances, located either on premises or in the cloud, to help customers strengthen security and reduce their operating expenses.

Fortinet also made a key cloud alliance last month, joining the Equinix Cloud Exchange. The network makes the company’s offerings available to a broad range of enterprises and service providers across multiple cloud architectures. It also makes use of SDN and as well as network function virtualization (NFV) to deliver security across a broad topology of datacenters.
