Telx Cloud Xchange Now Offers Hybrid Cloud Solutions

By Frank Griffin

Cloud technology has forever changed the IT environment by providing organizations a cost effective alternative to traditional on premises-based infrastructures. Virtually every aspect of a company’s IT needs can be hosted with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service, Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) and more in public, private or hybrid cloud deployments. Telx, provider of global interconnectivity, data center solutions and cloud enablement services has announced it is going to start offering hybrid cloud within the Telx Cloud Xchange-an ecosystem from a select set of cloud service provider partners.

As the current marketplace continues to grow, service providers have to differentiate themselves by offering a reliable and secure access to cloud destinations that seamlessly integrates with the organization’s infrastructure.

According to the company, its Cloud Xchange provides the tools enterprises, cloud providers and network providers need by bringing them together in a unique ecosystem within its data centers. Organizations can choose the best support for their business objectives by using the tailored hybrid cloud solution Telx offers with optimized applications designed to secure data, system performance and operational control. Managed services are also available on public, private and hybrid options to increase efficiency and lower downtime and risk.

Its Cloud Xchange provides solutions by finding the best match for organizations between available resources and workload demands to ensure accessibility. The providers it partners with to deliver public cloud solutions offer speed-to-delivery, elasticity and utility based pricing, while the private cloud solutions are designed to meet customer specifications with a highly available, secure and scalable environment based on dedicated, non-shared servers that allow critical apps to easily run in complex environments.

“With access to an abundant set of cloud service providers offering public, private and now hybrid cloud solutions, we're helping providers grow their business while enterprises benefit from tailored solutions that tackle demanding workloads and offer the flexibility needed to meet business goals,” said Chris Downie, CEO at Telx. “The enhanced Telx Cloud Xchange is core to our business as we continue to foster relationships with cloud service providers and enterprises.”

Telx delivers 100 percent uptime and 100 percent on-time service delivery SLAs, with 1.3 million square feet of data center space and more than 50,000 network connections, enabling the interconnection of more than 10 million square feet of data center space globally.
