Gartner's Magic Quadrant for IDaaS Report Names Simeio Solutions as a Niche Player

By Matt Paulson

Identity and Access Management as a Service (IDaaS) is emerging as a new and exciting field. IDaaS is essentially a cloud-based authentication infrastructure hosted by a third-party service provider. It provides a secure protocol for users to log in and access company servers stored on the Internet, which solves the issue that many enterprises have concerning the security of cloud networks. Gartner is committed to identifying key players in this industry among others, and the company has placed Simeio Solutions Identity and Access Management (IAM) provider on their list of niche players in the Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Management as a Service Report.

The Magic Quadrant Report, published on June 2 by Gregg Kreizman, serves to identify the best vendors for IDaaS without any kind of bias from endorsements in order to deliver solid facts on which companies offer the most objectively competitive services. Niche vendors are particularly valuable, as these groups offer in-depth IAM services aimed at providing specific solutions, as is the case with Simeio Solutions.

Simeio's CEO, Hemen Vimadalal, claims that, “We believe our position in the Magic Quadrant reflects our strength in providing a range of products that provide deep functional support for Web and legacy applications combined with the actionable business insights that Simeio's IIC [short for Identity Intelligence Center] provides.”

Of course, IDaaS is still a relatively new concept, which makes many professionals question its capabilities. Security is cited as one of the main concerns companies have when migrating to the cloud, yet the simple truth is that companies that aren't using cloud-based networks are quickly falling behind their competitors that are.

IDaaS takes the risk out of this concern by providing a comprehensive and capable cloud-based security network. As noted by Vimadalal, “The IDaaS market is still evolving, and our customers face rapidly growing IAM challenges that require specialized skills to meet today's need for enhanced security, greater flexibility and faster time to market. Our Business-Ready IAM Cloud uses best-of-breed IAM technologies combined with our proprietary Simeio IIC to provide one of the most powerful and flexible IDaaS offerings.”
