Managed Service Provider Week in Review

Partnerships, new lines of business and major solution announcements topped the managed services headlines this week. As more and more MSPs adopt cloud computing in some form or another, the possibilities for growth and migration within the market continue to expand.

Syntel, a provider of IT and knowledge process services along with digital transformation solutions, announced the creation of a new internal group it has branded Digital One. The company, which has more than 50 cloud projects in the works, is using the new brand as a platform to enable digital enterprises to transform through the adoption of mobility, cloud, social and big data analytics. The business will run in tandem with a new delivery group called the Managed Services Organization (MSO).

Continuum and Autotask have expanded their partnership with additional integration of the Continuum RMM platform and Autotask business management solutions. The move further supports Continuum’s MSP partners who are using Autotask, with new features like API integration and round trip ticketing between the two companies’ solutions.

Genesys announced a new portfolio of managed, cloud-based services this week with the Genesys Guru. The offerings are designed to help customers take advantage of their investments in the Genesys Customer Experience Platform through managed expert support and services. The new portfolio also incudes Workforce Optimization (WFO) services, which have experts identifying, analyzing and optimizing business processes and workforce issues.

CSG International has forged a new managed communications services agreement with MTN South Africa. The provider is using CSG to streamline its operations through wholesale billing and business services. The agreement, which spans several years, has MTN using the CSG Singleview, Route and Interconnect solutions and CSG will also take over management of several internal MTN tools as well as third-party systems.

Netsocket launched a suite of virtualized applications this week along with automated application delivery services. The new offerings are geared toward helping MSPs grow their revenue while also delivering profitable new services. The new apps include a number of security and firewall offerings as well as IP PBX and RMM solutions.
