SPS Receives Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification

Unified communications and managed services provider (MSP), Strategic Products and Services (SPS), has been awarded the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification. The company, which specializes in the design, installation and support of UC and collaboration apps, was recognized by Cisco for its strengths in selling and delivering cloud and managed services.

SPS offers a variety of cloud-based services built on Cisco solutions, including video, mobility, infrastructure, bridging and contact center apps and services. The recognition from Cisco honors the company for its strengths in the managed and cloud services arenas as well as the ability to help customers accelerate time to market and revenue.

"Cloud can mean different things, based on an organization's business needs and applications,” said Mike Taylor, chief technology officer of SPS. “Public, private, or even hybrid cloud deployments may be the best fit. Partnering with Cisco expands our cloud service capabilities, so we can offer a cost effective, flexible model that allows our customers to add services as their business needs change.”

The certification builds on Cisco authorizations held by Providea Conferencing. SPS acquired the video specialists in 2012 as part of its plan to become a full-service systems integrator as well as MSP. Providea brought specializations in the planning, designing, implementation and support of video networks to the table as well as cloud-based applications.

SPS holds a number of Cisco Powered services designations, including one for Cloud Services, Managed Services and Telepresence as a Service. In addition to Cisco, the MSP also partners with Avaya, Microsoft, Polycom, NICE and HP on its extensive portfolio.

In March, the company achieved Cisco’s Advanced Collaboration Architecture Specialization. That designation recognizes SPS as fulfilling the requirements for selling, designing and deploying Cisco Collaboration Architecture solutions and also expanded on a Providea authorization. The Cisco Collaboration Architecture is geared toward supporting the integration of video and collaboration services in mobile and cloud environments.
