Cloud and Virtualization Provider Thinspace Teams with RedChip on Funding Efforts

By Laura Stotler

Cloud and managed services provider (MSP) Thinspace Technology Inc. is ramping up its efforts to bring in funding. The company, which specializes in providing application delivery, virtualization and cloud client technologies, has teamed up with RedChip Companies, Inc. to seek investors.

According to Owen Dukes, CEO of Thinspace, the company chose RedChip because of their investor communications platform for microcap companies. Dukes added that the company also has a track record of assisting other MSP and cloud providers in their funding efforts, and that Thinspace will be working with them in the coming months to improve its visibility among investors.

RedChip’s first step in increasing Thinspace’s visibility among investors will be to launch an outreach campaign including television interviews that will reach more than 200 million homes throughout the world. The MSP will also ramp up its social media marketing and engage in a variety of retail and investor roadshows.

Thinspace already has more than 5,000 enterprise customers throughout the world, hailing from the private and public sectors. Prominent clients include NASA, PWC, Deutsche Bank and Toyota. The MSP operates on the premise that cloud computing and application delivery must be flexible, easy to use and dynamic. With Gartner forecasting the global desktop virtualization market will reach more than $65 billion by 2015 and IDC predicting desktop virtualization will go mainstream this year, the company is in a strong position to grow and expand its reach and client base.

The MSP has undergone a number of changes over the past few months in preparation for expansion and growth. In March, they officially changed their name from Vanity Events Holdings and Propalms to Thinspace as a better reflection of their market position and product offerings. Later that month, the company formed a Technical Advisory board and appointed a number of cloud computing, enterprise infrastructure and financial executives.
