Lam Cloud Announces Co-working Space and Workshop Series at NJ Technology Campus

By Laura Stotler

Business continuity specialists Lam Cloud have launched a new co-working space where customers, partners and colleagues can collaborate and connect. The Domain is located at Lam Cloud’s technology campus in Cranbury, NJ and is designed to offer a neutral and accessible environment for creative work and collaboration.

The company, which is a provider of workplace recovery, data center, network and business continuity services, envisions The Domain as a place where partners, students, potential investors and others can meet with clients on a reservation basis. Lam Cloud also believes the space will be ideal for conferences and trade shows as well as corporate events, virtual and permanent offices and technology workshops.

"The Domain converges infrastructure, connectivity, resources and opportunity in one state-of-the-art, customizable workspace," said Lawrence Lam, founder and president of Lam Cloud. "The interactive co-working space is designed and purpose-built to facilitate innovation, ideas and new relationships in order to drive the success of growth-stage as well as established businesses."

Lam Cloud is also offering a series of monthly workshops at its campus in tandem with the launch of The Domain. The mini workshops will aim to educate and assist the local community in finding technology solutions that best meet their needs. Lam is bringing in its partners to conduct the workshops, with Orion Systems Integrators presenting an IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) workshop this Thursday. The session will highlight partner solutions between Lam and Orion, designed to migrate to customers to the cloud as well as integrate with existing software and provide 24x7 tech support.

The Lam Cloud technology campus is SSAE16 Type 1 compliant and offers Tier 2/3 data center services for colocation, connectivity and data storage. Lam provides a variety of managed IT and workplace services as well as disaster recovery solutions through the facility. The campus also offers a fitness center, lounge and dining.

Lam Cloud announced two significant partnerships earlier this year, and the company is working with dark fiber and managed private Ethernet networks provider Sunesys, LLC. The companies are offering a 10Gbps Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing Connection (DWDM) between Lam’s Cranbury campus and the Sunesys colocation center in Newark.

Risk Masters, Inc., which specializes in risk management, disaster recovery and business continuity, is also working with Lam Cloud. The companies have partnered to offer national and regional customers end-to-end Flexible Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity management solutions. The partnership extends Lam’s existing solutions portfolio with Risk Masters’ risk management expertise.
