Managed Service Provider Week in Review

Managed Service Provider Week in Review

By Laura Stotler

Partnerships, deals, and acquisitions abounded this week in the managed services space. Companies are continuing to join forces and work together to expand their offerings, broaden their partner programs, and generally help each other provide the broadest and most valuable suite of cloud and managed services offerings possible.

Giant tech distributor Ingram Micro extended its managed services reach this week with the announcement that it has included the SkyKick Migration Suite as part of its cloud solution provider portfolio. The solution is part of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace and is designed to help channel partners move their customers more easily to Office 365. The offering is geared toward MSPs, VARs, system integrators and other Ingram Micro IT partners.

In a targeted partnership, Australian MSP Microsolve is using ScienceLogic’s IT monitoring software to help meet the expanding needs of its customers. The service provider, which offers networking provisioning and support as well as consulting and procurement services, needed a monitoring solution that could better handle multiple levels of data segmentation for its customers in the healthcare and aged care industries. ScienceLogic’s offering supports multi-tenant capabilities and customization, making it a great fit for Microsolve.

Cyberoam Technologies and ConnectWise deepened their integration this week with a stronger solution geared toward MSPs, ISVs, and VARs. The Cyberoam Central Console (CCC), a network security appliance, now features more integration with ConnectWise professional services automation (PSA) offerings. By offering end-to-end automation and integration from a single interface, the companies are aiming to provide a comprehensive solution for accelerating process automation management.

And in acquisition news, network and IT support services provider Acuative has scooped up the U.S. division of Thrupoint. The company provides consulting and professional services for network and IT, with offices in New York and Virginia. Thrupoint specializes in developing networks and IT strategy from the ground up, including complete architectures and roadmaps for managed unified communications systems and data center operations.
