Wheelings & Dealings: Codero Hosting Receives $8 Million in Financing to Deploy New Data Centers and Expand Offerings

By Laura Stotler

Cloud and managed services provider (MSP) Codero Hosting has received $8 million in financing, which the company will use to deploy new data centers across the U.S. and Europe. Codero also plans to expand its portfolio of hosted solutions to serve more customers at multiple data center locations.

The MSP specializes in providing dedicated cloud, managed and hybrid hosting solutions through its SAS 70 Type II data centers. Codero also provides the On-Demand Hybrid Cloud hosting service, bringing together cloud, networking and dedicated hosting technologies. The service integrates public cloud flexibility with a secure and robust traditional IT infrastructure.

“We have outpaced our industry’s growth, expanding faster than other hosting and cloud providers due to our commitment to providing customers with unparalleled performance, expertise, support and value,” said Emil Sayegh, president and CEO of Codero Hosting. He added that the new funding, from Silicon Valley Bank and Farnam Street Financial, will be used to help the company accelerate its growth and capitalize on its existing success.

Sayegh will be sharing his industry knowledge and expertise at the CLOUD4SMB Expo event in Miami, which begins today. The show, which is collocated with ITEXPO, is centered on providing real-world strategies for SMBs utilizing cloud computing solutions.

In addition to a large list of exhibitors, the show will provide a variety of conferences designed to educate SMBs about the cloud market and how they can best maximize their investments. Sayegh will be presenting a session on why “The SMB Cloud Market Needs You!” geared toward operators and service providers. It will focus on how the cloud is enabling managed and hosted services to be integrated into packaged solutions, and why the SMB market is ripe for such offerings.

Sayeh will also present “The Cloud of Tomorrow and What it Means,” centered on the evolution of cloud computing and upcoming advances that are expected. It will also discuss what SMBs are looking for and how providers can better tailor their offerings to meet those needs. A third session, “What You Need to Know About Your Cloud Services Partner,” will focus on how to make the best technology investment decisions and find the right partners.
