Continuum is only two years old, but this young MSP provider has an exclusive and apparently highly successful partnership with LogMeIn.
This are going so well, the channel partnership has just been expanded allowing Continuum to offer MSPs more features such as remote access printing using existing LogMeIn Pro licenses.
Meanwhile, Continuum continues to be LogMeIn’s exclusive partner serving the MSP channel.
One key attribute of the relationship, crafted last fall, is the integration of the LogMeIn Rescue remote support tool with Continuum's remote monitoring and management (RMM) system.
Adding functions to RMM tools has been a hot button in the MSP world this year, allowing providers to manage more services from one platform.
“The ability to provide LogMeIn as a bundled part of our offering is critical to knowledgeable MSPs who insist on the absolute best remote access technology,” said Dee Zepf, vice president of product management and technical services at Continuum.
LogMeIn agrees with the value of having an RMM watch and control its software. “The escalating demands placed on today's MSPs require them to stay connected with full functional access to their RMM tools, whether they are in the office or on the road – and we are delighted we can continue to play an integral role in delivering the best of both worlds to Continuum's partners,” said Ted Roller, LogMeIn's vice president of channel development.
Partner Elevation
LogMeIn’s main channel program is called Elevate, and is aimed at helping partners provide application management and support.
The support aspect of Elevate is offered through LogMeIn Rescue, a remote management tool similar to PCAnywhere and others.
LogMeIn, known mostly for this remote access as well as online backup also offers partners productivity tools in the form of Cubby and join.me, the latter a remote access and remote control similar to Rescue.
And there is management in the form of AppGuru which can centrally manage cloud apps, provides authentication, does configuration and can set and enforce policies for how apps are used, deployed and curated.
Meanwhile LogMeIn has the services most partners expect such as discounts, tech support, product training and advice on how to maximize revenue and profit opportunities.
There are two parts to the Elevate program. The first part, rolling out now, is aimed at helping service provider partners provide support and management services for devices both bought by the employer and BYOD.
The other phase is a program to resell the company’s productivity and collaboration apps. Also included will be the ability to manage third party cloud apps using LogMeIn’s AppGuru.
The Continuum MSP Concept
Continuum has an unusual approach where it offers its SaaS-based platform to other service providers. The platform, aimed at SMBs, monitors, troubleshoots, backs up, and maintains endpoints and servers.
The services are all supported by a service desk and network operations center (NOC), and can be fully managed. The company claims it is the only one that offers a remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform fully integrated with a SaaS-based management tool and a network operations center (NOC).
After its scant two years in business, the company has more than 3,300 customers.
MSP Programs on the Move
Like LogMeIn, Continuum has also been steadily building its partner programs, and now offers Marketing Advantage which is all about turning leads into customers, Tech Advantage which is an outsourced technical program, and Continuum University which so far has served up over 7,000 courses.
Continuum is also now partnered up with Growth Achievement Partner (GAP), to turn office dealers into MSPs.
The partner’s Managed Services Model focuses on important metrics, including:
- Account expansion and contracts including revenue per seat and ability to add extra services
- Revenue, including revenue mix
- Profitability
- Head count, such as productivity per employee
- And compensation
