ComputerSupport.com Offers AWS for Cloud Services, Management Portfolio

By Laura Stotler

ComputerSupport.com has added Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an option for customers using its cloud services and management portfolio. The move is geared toward serving companies in the biotech and financial industries as well as other sectors with workloads that spike with demand.

Cloud offerings from ComputerSupport.com help customers run workloads in different geographies or in parallel, enabling customers to build scalable applications. AWS joins the managed service provider’s (MSP) specialized cloud offerings, along with Microsoft Office 365 services.

ComputerSupport.com also partners with Cisco, HP, VMware and ShoreTel. The AWS platform is geared toward customers who are buying and managing their own IT infrastructure as well as those in need of scalable or on-demand compute and storage services.

A new MarketandMarkets report on the hybrid cloud market puts AWS as one of the top players in the space, along with Dell, HP, Equinix, VMware and Rightscale. The report forecasts the market will reach $79.54 billion by 2018, representing a whopping 30.91 percent CAGR from 2013 to 2018.

Advantages for customers selecting AWS include the ability to design and diagram a scalable, redundant and cost efficient cloud schematic. MSPs like ComputerSupport.com may also create a pilot proof of concept and migrate customer workloads to the cloud without any downtime. Continuous monitoring is enabled through CloudWatch and agent-based tools, with AWS providing a response time of less than 30 minutes for critical issues and support questions.
