Managed IT Buying Spree Nabs CT Networks

Managed IT Buying Spree Nabs CT Networks

By Doug Barney

Partnerships and mergers abound in the MSP and IT services space, and this week is no different as ITsavvy just scooped up CT Networks.

ITsavvy offers managed services in the form of savvyCloud and savvyGuard. Meanwhile, CT Networks is all about converged IT, data, voice and managed and hosted services.

CT brings to the table existing partnerships with the likes of Cisco, Citrix, Evault, Microsoft, Mitel, Netapp, and VMware. Not too shabby.

ITsavvy, which has grown organically, now hopes to grow by acquisition as well. The nine-year-old company had its roots in the Midwest, but has since expanded nationally.

CT was just what company founder and CEO Mike Theriault was looking for. “CT Networks has an experienced, tenured, and dedicated staff with the same values and approach to client service that we have. Since they have been in business for nearly 30 years, their markets are well-developed, both geographically and vertically,” Theriault said.

Current ITsavvy customers can now avail themselves of more services, such as unified communications.

Meanwhile CT customers should push for savings. “ITsavvy’s discounts and connections in the server and hardware business will allow us to deliver our Cloud solutions at a much lower cost. We will also have the ability to sell larger solutions to our clients based on ITsavvy’s engineering talent and purchasing power,” said CT CEO Barry Goldstein.

Not the First ITsavvy Buy

CT Networks is not ITsavvy’s first acquisition. This past July ITsavvy added Directech Solutions to its roster. Directech is in the multifunction printer and copier business, and adds value to ITsavvy’s existing print management tool savvyPrint.

Meanwhile, ITsavvy offers savvyGuard, a service that looks for customer infrastructure problems and fixes them before they turn into a hack attack or outage.
