Converged Technology Group Touts Next Gen Cloud Platform

By Doug Barney

Converged Technology Group spent two years reworking its cloud platform and this week launched it as Assist360o.

Converged delivers what it calls co-managed solutions that claim to offer the best in on-premises technology and hosted services.

Its newly rebranded Assist360o managed services are aimed at making sure customer systems are secure, available and running smoothly. As a co-managed offering, Converged staffers work hand in hand with a client’s own IT staff.

The services include help desk, remote monitoring, network optimization, vendor management, and service delivery.

The MSP largely serves the northeastern United States.

“We’ve evolved the Converged Assist platform to maximize our customers’ ability to leverage emerging technologies, the cloud and proactive performance management – without the need to make large capital investments in their IT infrastructure. The result is Assist360o – a robust, customizable and easy-to-use service suite that gives unprecedented capabilities to IT management staff, and allows them to offload much of their daily monitoring and maintenance demands – all while increasing infrastructure performance and reliability,” said Converged Technology Group’s CTO, Steve Drgon.

The idea is that Converged personnel act as a virtual extension of internal IT. Besides the services, Converged technicians can offer consulting and problem solving.

The services are not new but enhanced and rebranded. One addition is a portal for customer devices that provides a dashboard that show how the infrastructure is performing, right down to the individual device and application level.

Not Your Typical MSP

Converged doesn’t just offer services over the cloud, but can go deep in working with customers as well. The engagement starts with the design of a program to fit the customer’s unique needs, and includes factors such as performance, scalability, security, reliability and availability. To support these goals, Converged creates an architectural design, a plan for implementation and then a scheme for handling operations afterwards.

The implementation process always works more or less the same, and includes, the company says:

  • “Project Kickoff
  • Detailed Design and Planning
  • Staging
  • Implementation
  • Integration and Cut Over
  • First Day in Service (FDiS) Support
  • Knowledge Transfer
  • Project Close”
