Cloud communications provider Momentum Telecom will use solutions from OneAccess Networks for delivery of managed services to their SMB and enterprise customers. The service provider will be using the One Series multi-service router and gateway solutions to streamline managed services delivery.
The One Series solutions will help Momentum achieve operational cost savings for on-net and off-net customers. The offerings are designed to help deliver an improved service activation experience for Momentum’s customers along with overall streamlined process management for the service provider.
Momentum is taking advantage of the One Series multi-service router as well as the OneProvisio TR-069 standards-based auto configuration server. The products offer a business-class routing engine with features like integrated application performance monitoring, control and acceleration features enabling end point visibility. And that adds up to better management of the delivery of cloud services to the service provider’s customers.
The market for managed, cloud-based communications is growing rapidly with Momentum in an ideal position to take advantage of a number of opportunities. According to Synergy Research Group, the number of unified-communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) subscribers nearly tripled between 2010 and 2013, reaching 1.6 million. That represents a 21 percent increase over that time span.
Momentum has been working to expand its cloud communications portfolio with offerings like customizable cloud PBX solutions, hosted VoIP, broadband management, SIP trunking and managed collaboration tools and unified communications services.
"We believe our solutions provide Momentum Telecom the necessary combination of a full-featured and high performance multi-service router that enables operational efficiency for the delivery of managed services to the SMB and enterprise," said Dennis R. Gatens, vice president and general manager of OneAccess Networks, North America. "The One Series will also empower Momentum Telecom to address the customer's evolving cloud application delivery requirements through software feature upgrades."
Momentum will take advantage of OneAccess offerings to include cloud-based application delivery in their service offerings. They will also upgrade their already deployed One Series multi-service router, making it a more effective application delivery platform. Integrated features of the router include an enterprise session border controller (eSBC), application visibility and a number of optimization features.
