Managed IT security and network services provider CentraComm has joined the Riverbed Authorized Support Partner Program (RASP). The MSP is one of only 12 partners authorized to enhance Riverbed Technology’s application performance solutions through its support services.
Membership to RASP is an extension of CentraComm’s existing relationship with Riverbed as a Platinum Partner in the Ohio Valley region. The MSP is already delivering a variety of Riverbed offerings to its enterprise customers, including WAN optimization.
The RASP program kicks things up a notch by enabling elite partners to offer Level 1 and Level 2 support service for Riverbed solutions to their customers. For CentraComm, that means offering resale, deployment and managed offerings of Riverbed application performance solutions. These are integrated with CentraComm’s own tools and resources to enable a variety of applications like virtualization, private clouds, application and network visibility and improvements to remote and mobile employee productivity.
Riverbed has been pushing hard to get its products to a wider audience and that work is paying off. The company reported second quarter revenues of $250 million, up from $198 million during the same time period last year. They were also named by Gartner as the sole vendor in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2013 “Magic Quadrant for WAN Optimization Controllers,” and have received many industry accolades and awards this year.
In August, the company rolled out a single appliance with integrated application-aware network performance management as well as application performance management. By integrating two key product families, the Riverbed Cascade and OPNET lines, the company was able to offer a single solution for maximizing application performance, availability and productivity.
That efficiency is being passed on in spades to customers like the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. The group recently deployed the Riverbed Steelhead WAN optimization appliances in 12 of its offices in Africa as well as many field offices. The result is as much as 24-time increases in performance and enhanced employee productivity and better communications. And that translates into life-saving results as the organization undertakes its mission of providing HIV testing and care and treatment to expectant mothers.
