CyrusOne Joins with Optic IP to Offer New Managed Services to Phoenix Customers

By Laura Stotler

A new managed services partnership has been announced in the Phoenix region, giving customers more variety and a broad range of colocation and comprehensive IT services. CyrusOne has teamed up with Optic IP LLC, offering customers of its Phoenix data center access to new managed services.

Optic IP specializes in everything from comprehensive onsite IT services and support to development of migration plans. The company also offers content delivery deployments to "remote hands" in addition to cloud and storage solutions.

The partnership offers new services at CyrusOne's Phoenix facility, opened earlier this year. The campus is still under construction, and will total one million square feet when finished. It was designed using proprietary Massively Modular design technology from CyrusOne, which lets the company commission large-scale data centers quickly and efficiently.

The Phoenix facility is part of the CyrusOne National Internet Exchange, a connectivity solution for the company's data centers in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. This offers colocation options beyond a single data center for disaster recovery, powerful backup and low-cost connectivity. The Exchange is part of CyrusOne's network of 25 carrier-neutral facilities located throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.

"Optic IP is in the business of providing mission-critical management services to our clients, so it's essential to operate from a facility that offers high levels of redundancy and availability," said David Ellsworth, CEO of Optic IP. "CyrusOne is an established and proven brand that we believe our clients will recognize and trust. We're also able to leverage the CyrusOne National IX so that our clients can grow in multiple locations."

CyrusOne was recently chosen by industrial contractor Turner Industries for disaster recovery and colocation services. The company is one of the largest industrial construction and maintenance companies in the U.S. and maintains an extensive network of data and applications.
