MSP Today has covered Cirrity a couple times in recent months, once with the release of a new DRaaS service, and again with a Zerto partnership in which Zerto helps drive the Cirrity DRaaS.
This week the DRaaS vendor picked up a new partner: cloud services and integrator GreenPages-LogicsOne will now provide Cirrity services.
In keeping with Cirrity’s focus, GreenPages-LogicsOne will initially offer DRaaS. The Cirrity service is called vStream (not to be confused with all the like named tools from VMware).
“Managed services offerings from GreenPages-LogicsOne streamline and accelerate organizations’ adoption of virtualization and cloud computing,” said Chris Ward, chief technology officer for GreenPages-LogicsOne. “As companies move toward this virtual environment, the need for security and compliance in the cloud has never been greater. Cirrity brings that element to our best-in-class portfolio of solutions. Our consulting and technology expertise make it possible to leverage the vStream solution to address compliance, sandbox testing, migration and scheduled DR testing.”
Cirrity thinks GreenPages is a good new home for its DRaaS.
“GreenPages-LogicsOne provides the tools companies need to manage their businesses efficiently and cost effectively, while vStream’s real-time replication assures them that their data is protected,” said Dan Timko, president and chief technology officer of Cirrity. “We are very pleased to partner with a highly regarded industry leader like GreenPages-LogicsOne.”
The Zerto Connection
The Cirrity DRaaS is now driven by the Zerto Cloud Disaster Recovery Ecosystem (ZCE), and more specifically the hypervisor-based Zerto Virtual Replication. The mixture of cloud storage and virtualization is a big deal these days for two reasons. First, there are more and more virtual machines that need backing up. But more interestingly, virtualization changes how backup is done, and by backing up environments as a VM, you can restore a ready-to-go full environment.
Viewing vStream
It wasn’t that long ago that Cirrity launched vStream. The little ‘v’ in vStream stands for ‘virtual’ and mimics naming conventions used by partner VMware. You know, vSphere, vCloud, all that.
vStream is a hypervisor-based service that works at the block level and can do almost-continuous replication, the company said.
Virtualization, especially fundamental VMware technologies, is the root of the high performance. One piece of vStream integrates with vCenter from VMware.
Cirrity All About Partners
Cirrity says it is all about the channel, and pitches the fact that partners have access to a service that is already fully integrated and quick to deploy.
The partner program allows the channel to go after an array of markets, including business continuity and disaster recovery, cloud-based desktops, enterprise applications, hybrid cloud, SaaS enablement and remote backup.
