Secure Enterprise Collaboration Software More Beneficial to MSPs than Free File Sharing

By Laura Stotler

When it comes to free file sharing, managed service providers (MSPs) should review solutions very carefully to determine the impact on their customers. Unfortunately, more than 60 percent of companies are negatively affected by unauthorized, free file sharing tools.

For MSPs, a more practical solution may be secure enterprise collaboration software. Solutions like FileLocker, from cloud platform provider Infrascale, can help enterprise IT managers and MSPs who are looking for a secure alternative to options like Dropbox. The enterprise-grade file sharing tool features SharePoint integration, multi-folder desktop syncing and a host of other secure features.

FileLocker also provides end-to-end encryption, on-premises deployment options and bring your own device (BYOD) management. It offers the security, administrative controls and usability that MSPs and IT managers are seeking. The solution is powered by Infrascale's cloud platform, which runs on 11 data centers spanning five continents.

The company's software is used for desktops, mobile devices and the cloud, and powers the Enterprise Protect and SOS Online Backup solutions as well as FileLocker. It is also used by more than 1,000 independent MSPs, VARs and cloud service companies.

The company will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday to examine the negative impact of free file sharing within enterprises as well as ways to control it. "Stop Losing Business to Dropbox" will be led by Ken Shaw, CEO of Infrascale.
