Datto's latest innovation, Datto ALTO, a hybrid-cloud BDR/IBC solution for small businesses and the first image-based backup and disaster recovery product on the market, won the “ASCII Baltimore Success Summits Best Hardware Solution Award” at the two-day conference held June 12-13.
The prize-winning company, Datto Inc., is a privately-held firm based in Norwalk, Conn., established in 2007.
This victorious vendor has delivered Datto ALTO, which is the company’s most influential end-to-end business continuity product for backup and disaster recovery (BDR) combined with an intelligent business continuity (IBC) solution.
Datto ALTO is part of the company’s IBC solutions for every size business, to include Datto SIRIS, Datto SIRIS Lite, Datto G Series and Datto GenISIS, which suit the specific needs of many small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and serve in a wide range of vertical markets for diverse commerce occupations.
The Datto ALTO is not a first-time winner; it also won the “Best New Product” last month at the ASCII Chicago Success Summit and, in April, received the same prize at the Boston Success Summit. The recent win in Baltimore now makes it the third consecutive time this year that the company was awarded the trophy and title for providing the best breakthrough product on the market that adds significant usability in disaster scenarios.
Datto is said to be one of the best new products for the IT industry, right now, and has been honored by industry peers to be the one solution geared specifically for small businesses.
Datto is also the only company able to provide hardware-based instant on- and off-site virtualization as well as screenshot backup verification, in addition to restores thanks to its Inverse Chain Technology.
Austin McChord, founder and CEO of Datto, said he was truly honored for having received the ASCII Group award for the ALTO product, which was recognized by managed service providers (MSPs) and information technology authorities. He explained that ALTO was developed to give small businesses a BDR solution year round that is easy to use and cost effective.
He ensured that the product is sure to be an investment that will prove itself valuable for any business in a disaster scenario; clients would be able to utilize a hybrid cloud backup and virtualization model to their full potential to alleviate the risk of downtime and ultimately save money.
In fact, McChord affirmed that ALTO is the only cloud computing technology product using hybrid virtualization that gives MSPs “the opportunity to provide small businesses with a robust BDR solution that delivers business continuity and instant data recovery on a small budget.”
In the event of a local disaster or likelihood of any extended interruptions in business continuity, Datto ALTO is the ideal solution for a company’s entire network to be virtually recreated and securely connected directly to the cloud. It also ensures the clients’ backup remains up-to-date; that can be easily managed from Datto’s central Web-based interface.
Datto’s ALTO makes it possible for any failed system to be virtualized instantly off-site. Many small-size businesses are sure to benefit from such a solution that consolidates hardware, leverages the network to successfully deliver cloud services and enables users to perform restores and advanced hassle-free, automatic backups to protect data and reduce downtime; all thanks to a reliable and secure VPN network that “seamlessly connects the virtualization from the user’s local network to Datto’s secure off-site servers” as McChord concluded.
