AccelOps Accelerates Partner Push

AccelOps Accelerates Partner Push

By Doug Barney

This past April, MSP Today brought you news that AccelOps grew over 70 percent in its second quarter compared to last year’s quarter, and the security information and event management (SIEM) company laid the credit almost squarely on the shoulders of its MSP partners, and closely related cousins – Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).

Now the company is continuing that reliance, announcing that it has basically doubled its channel, and in the process boosted channel sales some 135 percent.

AccelOps claims that is has the only “integrated software platform to monitor security, performance and availability across all aspects of the IT infrastructure, whether on-premise or in the cloud.” That may be true in its eyes, but I’m sure there are dozens of competitors who would seriously beg to differ.

What may arguably be a bit different is how AccelOps goes about analyzing infrastructure, where its real-time analytics engine looks for patterns of behavior that point to problems that can then be resolved before they turn into catastrophe.

One MSP partner backs AccelOps arguments.

“The flexibility of AccelOps' custom parsing engine allows us to provide detailed monitoring of the security event logs sourced from custom applications written by our clients,” said Dave Nelson, president of Integrity Technology Systems. “This level of customization and service creates a unique offering in a crowded MSSP market.”

For MSPs, AccelOps’ network visibility helps support Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), and its multi-tenancy eases support for multiple clients.

MSP SEPVentures LLC sees the company’s channel commitment as a bonus.

“They have always provided us extraordinary demos and reliable products that gain top marks with our clients. Their availability to answer any and all questions in a timely, concise manner has made them one of the best companies to work with,” said Steven Phelan, president of SEPVentures LLC.

The MSP Play

AccelOps thinks MSPs should pay attention to its value, arguing that MSPs can launch new services based on visibility and analytics, or add these attributes to existing wares.

The company claims it is easy and profitable to do business with, having flexible licensing as well as multi-tenancy and the ability to deploy via virtual appliances.

Here are the specific MSP services offered, according to AccelOps:

  • “Remote monitoring and alert
  • IT event correlation and analysis
  • Private and hybrid cloud monitoring
  • Uptime and availability monitoring
  • Critical business services monitoring (e.g. financial trading operations)
  • Managed network services
  • Managed hosting services
  • VDI and desktop management
  • Security monitoring
  • Cloud security management
  • Compliance reporting
  • User activity management
  • Digital asset protection
  • Security risk assessment and consulting”
