Education Service Graduates to Managed Cloud

EdLink, which provides corporate tuition services, will use Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and managed hosting from Latisys to power client services.

EdLink is a corporate education stalwart and services a slew of Fortune 500 companies, which certainly consume a lot of education. And they shell out a lot of dough through tuition assistance, which is where EdLink kicks in.

Meanwhile IaaS and hosting vendor Latisys, has been in the networking and services business since 1994, and today boasts high density data centers across the U.S.

EdLink provides it software as Software as a Service (SaaS), and handles online tuition processing from soup to nuts.

EdLink Direct “manages every aspect of a clients' program, ensuring that policies and procedures are applied consistently, helping to minimize the cost and maximize the impact of tuition assistance programs,” the company explained.

This area involves a bevy of confidential items, employee information, and financial transactions such as what is owed or paid out. This all requires a high level of security. With Latisys’ array of services and experience in the business, security has been well tested.

“Security is of absolute importance to our clients and their employees. Latisys' secure national platform, combined with the ability to develop IaaS solutions tailored to our unique demands, provides us with an ideal combination for our business needs," said John Zappa, CEO of EdLink. “Through our close collaboration with Latisys, we are able to achieve the high performance, scalable IT infrastructure solution required to support our rapidly growing SaaS business model.”

Latisys has been on a customer roll of late. Just recently the service provider inked a deal to provide infrastructure services for Digitech Systems Enterprise Content Management (ECM) tools. Digitech is moving operations over to a Denver-based SOC 2 and SOC 3 audited data center, and take also take advantage of Latisys’ managed network services.
