Genband Helps Intelli-Flex Get Its Head in the Cloud

By Peter B. Counter

Cloud integration services are still a hot topic in the IP communications market, and Intelli-Flex is not going to be left grounded. The nationwide voice, video, data and network technologies provider has announced that Genband will be providing its EXPERiUS powered NUViA cloud service to elevate iFlexCloud up to where it belongs.

The iFlexCloud will provide enterprises big and small the ability to conference with voice, HD video, desktop unified communications and more. Intelli-Flex will be adding Genband to a long list of treasured partnerships including Apple, Microsoft, Xerox and more, all in its mission to provide flexible network solutions to customers.

This partnership is right up Genband’s alley. Slated potentially to be Oracle’s big opponent in IP communications this year, Genband has been pushing and preaching cloud based services like the future depends on it. And it does.

In 2012, Jibberbit offered similar cloud integration services and doubled its business. Video conferencing, now being offered in schools and universities across the United States by Internet2 and Vidyo is becoming a huge deal, and VoIP is becoming standard communications procedure too. All of this is to say: cloud integration, and the services that come with it, is turning out to be the IP communication gold mine it was forecasted to be, and Intelli-Flex’s choice to power iFlexCloud with Genband is potentially great.

This being said, other cloud providers like SAP have not been meeting the high expectations set out for them. In 2013, the German cloud integrator citing management changes in Asia Pacific for a drop in stock last Friday. The slow start is not forecasted to change the idea that the future is in the cloud; there is still a demand.

By hitching its wagon to Genband’s star, Intelli-Flex has picked a side in the coming fight for supremacy of the cloud market. Being powered by Genbrand NUViA ensures that iFlexCloud subscribers will have continuous access to a growing number of cloud-based features and services for the duration of their contracts.
