Zetta.net provides disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) tools for managed service providers (MSPs), offering what it calls a 3-in-1 hybrid cloud system, which includes backup, archiving and disaster recovery. There are 3 other services the company likes to tout: its software, online storage, and WAN optimization tools, which also help make backup and recovery faster.
The main tool, Zetta.net DataProtect, does remote server backup, local backup, archiving, offsite data replication, disaster recovery, bare metal recovery, even instant recovery. MSPs should have an even easier time managing their backup and recovery efforts with its new management console that can deal with multi-tenant environments.
The idea is to help MSPs set up new locations, systems and customers quickly, easing employee costs and providing happier clients. This provisioning should all take place remotely, eliminating the need to travel to client shops. Once set up, the new Multi-Tenant Managed Service Provider Management Console should make it easier to keep the DraaS running smoothly, making backups less labor intensive, and recovery easier.
“Zetta.net DataProtect with the secure MSP Management Console is an attractive portfolio addition to service providers who are increasingly moving away from appliance-based solutions due to high initial capital costs, excessive complexity, management overhead and performance issues,” the company said.
The Zetta.net claims its solution can be set up “in minutes”, and requires no on-premise appliances, unlike other hybrid cloud storage solutions.
The console includes:
- Centralized backup and recovery
- A Web portal the let customers self-provision
- Single sign-on
- Marketing support offer through the portal
One MSP is already pleased. “The Zetta.net Management Console has been a very effective tool for us,” said Mark Wertz, president of Mizon, a managed services provider based in Charlotte, North Carolina. “It’s a dashboard for everything we have to manage in our portfolio using a single interface. It will be very powerful for us this year as we open up the flood gates on our marketing and start to bring in larger-volume clients. In a year from now, if we have 100 clients using the Zetta.net solution, we can add and scale easily using the portal without any management nightmares. It will be easy with Zetta.net to crank up the volume and grow our business without a heavy administrative stack to support it on the back-end.”
Besides the new management console, Zetta.net also recently unveiled a new Managed Service Provider Marketing Enablement and Lead Generation Program which offers help with leads, landing customers and increasing conversion rates.
“Marketing practices are experiencing disruptive change,” said Gary Sevounts, vice president of marketing, Zetta.net. “Older techniques such as cold calling, spamming and trade show exhibits yield increasingly less results, require large budgets and waste valuable resources. A majority of IT decision makers are increasingly using search engines, IT communities, peer and media reviews. Zetta.net has embraced the new inbound marketing model, which leads potential customers to our web site through the availability of relevant, educational content - and then they contact us when ready. This approach has generated strong results and we look forward to sharing many of the inbound marketing techniques and best practices responsible for these results, with our partners”
There are three tiers of partner levels:
- Basic provides “inbound and content marketing foundation training, cloud server backup and disaster recovery value proposition and messaging, content strategy and a basic conversion optimization workshop,” Zetta.net said.
- Advanced adds special help with landing pages, conversion optimization and SEO optimization.
- The Pro level “includes consultation and budget for enhanced SEO optimization, PPC optimization, and help with keyword strategy development. In addition, partners will be invited to participate in a metrics workshop, joint webinars, and have customized content generated by Zetta.net,” the company said.
So what does Zetta mean? According to elaborate research by MSP Today, it is 10 to the 21st power, or one sextillion.
