With a strong emphasis on cloud, video managed services provider Yorktel has ramped up its management team in an effort to expand its market presence and improve its ability to work with government agencies.
Yorktel brings together unified communications with desktop video services, serving a broad range of clients, including the enterprise, public sector, local governments, schools, healthcare and the federal space.
The New Jersey-based company announced several key appointments to its public sector team.
First, eight-year Yorktel veteran Daryl Coyle has been promoted to vice president of federal sales. Coyle will lead business development and account supervision of the federal account managers, as well as go-to-market strategies for Yorktel’s next-generation portfolio of video managed services, VideoCloud and managed media solutions.
In addition, Yorktel has appointed Greg Douglas as vice president of business development, public sector, who is responsible for expanding the company’s footprint among government agencies and other public sector clientele, as well as leading interaction and engagement with key executives.
“With the intricate technical, regulatory and compliance challenges that face the public sector, agencies must have trusted partners that can help improve the productivity and effectiveness of their workforce,” Yorktel executive vice president of Sales, Michael Swade, said in a statement. “These personnel moves within our public sector and federal team ensure that Yorktel is equipped to continue providing video conferencing, unified communication and visual collaboration solutions that enable government employees to communicate easily and securely, regardless of the network or mobile device.”
Yorktel holds three GSA contracts in which the company develops, deploys and supports video solutions, and provides engineering, integration and media services. The company also makes staffing resources available to its customers, including onsite placement of highly skilled technicians, event staff, and its 24/7/365 global Video Network Operations Center (VNOC) services.
In addition, Yorktel holds a contract for the State of New Jersey Video Teleconferencing Equipment and Services (exclusive provider of Cisco/Tandberg brand).
Last month, Yorktel launched VideoCloud, its cloud video conferencing suite. At the same time, the company announced that VideoCloud supports both Microsoft Lync and Office 365. Vishal Brown, VP of professional services at Yorktel, recently discussed the company’s approach to cloud-based managed video services at ITEXPO East 2013 in Miami.
