Netshield: Adopting MDM Can Protect BYOD Users

By Daniel Brecht

Managed services provider (MSP) Netshield, a technology and a service-led U.K.-based company with know-how in delivering a variety of network services and the ability to offers solutions for a clients’ Enterprise Network environment, has steadily built its reputation of innovation and proficiency in all areas IT. For years, Netshield has provided effective management and the essential IT services to help others get the most out of their IT infrastructure. In addition, the company has also provided clients the proactive support they needed to ensure business efficiency, all while reducing their IT-related stress and making their systems future-proof and cost-effective.

With the trend of increased use of mobile devices and with Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) becoming more popular than ever amongst the workforce, with the latter able to help cut costs significantly for companies, mobile device management (MDM) is turning out to be even more essential for employees to do their job. “However, the biggest challenge organizations are facing when adopting this trend is the security of corporate data.”

Having understood the range of benefits of BYOD and the number of corporate security risks involved in this practice, on Monday, April 15, Netshield launched a new MDM service, one that will be added to their comprehensive portfolio of Managed IT Services, that could reduce business security risks when using mobile devices for corporate purposes while able to help protect business data and lower costs.

According to Richard Carty, Commercial Director of Netshield, MDM is essential, due to the growing demand for “Workforce Mobility.” He stresses how MDM can help businesses lower potential data security risks and adds that it enables one to manage large-scale deployments of mobile devices and perhaps, if lost or stolen, put a stop to IT security risks and vulnerabilities by being able protect business data from unauthorized access and data breaches. Richard Carty also stresses that it can monitor and control each mobile device that are deployed – anywhere in the world by being able able to manage remotely enrolled devices.

Netshield’s MDM services includes managed two-factor authentication and administration of mobile device compliance checks and enforcement; plus, it takes specific actions against a single mobile device, other than being capable of controlling all data and configuration settings on all devices in a corporate network.
