By Laura Stotler

Florida managed service provider (MSP) iON Solutions is now offering Dell EqualLogic PS Series storage devices. The company, based in Jacksonville, offers computer storage devices and solutions designed to fit the needs of small to medium-sized businesses throughout the U.S.

The Dell devices offer a comprehensive set of advanced data management and protection software. They are being offered through iON with no additional fees, which enables organizations of all sizes to maintain cost-effective enterprise storage solutions for virtualized server environments.

The EqualLogic Series includes patented page-based volume management, self-managing storage arrays and snapshots of Microsoft Hyper-V and MwareV environments designed for fast and simplified virtual machine recovery. Additional features include auto-replication integration with VMware Site Recovery Manager and integration with the Citrix XenCenter management console.

"iON Solutions is a storage partner with Dell, " says founder Derek Fowler. "We have a lot of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Dell storage devices. With that said, we can typically provide volume discounting and the expertise to back up your purchase."

The Managed IT offering from iON features proactive management and monitoring of customers' IT environments. The company supports users through an advanced monitoring model that enables the MSP to identify problems before they cause downtime. iON expects users to see up to 60 percent increased uptime using their monitoring model, as well as up-to-the minute health indications about the network environment.

iON adds that their average client saves about 25 to 40 percent annually on IT related expenses. Additional offerings from the MSP include proactive support for a fixed monthly cost, emergency on site and remote support and live phone support on a 24x7x365 basis. iON also resolves issues remotely more than 90 percent of the time, and offers dedicated account managers for its customers.

Additional benefits include reduced resource and training costs for customers, predicable monthly service costs, increased operational efficiencies and dependable SLAs. iON offers round-the-clock threat monitoring and protection as well as complete monitoring of mission-critical applications. The MSP also provides simple graphical reporting of clients' performance.
