Deployment of Application Performance Management Made Easier by AppDynamics

By Jody Ray Bennett

AppDynamics announced today that it has made APMaas in a Box available for organizations with varying needs, like enterprises with a need to manage their internal apps within a shared public cloud, or MSP’s that need a basic way to add APM to their service catalogs and increase revenue.

APMaas in a Box provides application component discovery, end user experience, transaction mapping and tracking, analytics, and deep application diagnostics. Each of these features is intended to monitor stability issues and applications performance. To ensure that the end users expectations for performance and availability are effortlessly met, AppDynamics was built from the very beginning to support multi-tenancy. AppDynamics also offers superior scalability, supporting 10,000 serves on a single management server. For MSP’s who want to scale APM but don’t want to maintain and manage a farm of servers, this is critical.

MSP’s and other organizations can use APMaas in a Box to easily and swiftly deploy APM, whether they need on-premise or Saas implementations. It can also be used to differentiate services in a crowded market for MSP’s by offering APMaas in a Box to their customers. APMaas has also made it simple for enterprises to switch from Saas to on-premise as needed.

Oscar Garcia, COO of NTT Europe said, “Using application performance management as a service, we’ve increased our customer base and have received immensely positive feedback from existing customers. The transformation was rapid-we were able to launch full-fledged multi-tenant controllers in less than six hours. We don’t need to spend days or weeks doing implementation-we can concentrate on our core business and strengthen our brand and reputation.”

“Traditionally, APM software and services have been very expensive, shutting out a number of businesses interested in strengthening their applications. There were also deployment challenges, APMaas in a Box eliminates outdated processes that increase complexity, with a new model that’s cost effective and built on an intuitive platform,” said Stuart Horne-VP of business development at AppDynamics.
