ESET Spreads its Wings to Efficiently Cover Managed Service Providers' Needs

By David Gitonga

In the computing world, computer viruses and related malware remain the greatest threats both to data integrity and to the security of any computing system. Since such infectious software is the engine of cyber criminals’ practice, there’s the need for a strong reputable antivirus to protect your system.

Once again, ESET has added to its over 25-year record of award-winning technology with the release of ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Endpoint Antivirus to the managed services provider (MSP) market. Through value-added reselling or posing as contractors in varied network-based IT services, applications and equipment, MSPs need flexible but robust protection from malware.

However, the dynamicity and scale of their operations makes normal licensing policies offered by ESET in its regular products unsuitable. ESET now offers these two products as part of a robust MSP partnership program, allowing customers to reduce licensing costs as their volume of operation increases.

Commenting on the move, Mathew McManus, vice president of sales and marketing, ESET North America, is confident that its customers can now leverage its flexible implementation options to meet the diverse business needs in the field.

With the new licensing format, MSP and value-added resellers (VAR) can now take advantage of the services of ESET Remote Administrator. This will allow administrators to carry out their tasks while retaining Remote Management Module (RMM) agnosticism – crucial to the achievement of remote access, and the control of protected nodes regardless of the software the target runs, or its hardware specifications.

Built on the robust NOD32 technology, the award-winning endpoint security solutions offer protection against malware, phishing, viruses, spam and other cyber threats that go undetected by Internet users. The new approach from ESET allows the company to comfortably accommodate sated small organizations with as low as 25 users, to enterprises with over tens of thousands of endpoints.

Eric Egolf, president of CIO Solutions, an ESET partner, is confident that the ESET MSP offering, now available to ESET partners throughout America, delivers the best of the best coverage bound in flexible packages, hence maintaining the viability of ESET as a first choice to its target audience.
