Miami is Newest Cloud Location for Host Virtual, Inc.

By Toni Sutton

Host Virtual, Inc. has reportedly launched a new cloud located in Miami, Florida – the 14th facility of the leading cloud platform provider.

Virtual Inc., through the United States, Europe and South Asia, provides public clouds, and this new site will serve customers on the east coast as well as in Latin America.

Virtual, Inc. just last week opened up another location in Denver, Colorado. Sandy Bhargavi, senior vice president of Host Virtual Inc., stated, “We’re pleased to launch our fourteenth cloud location in Miami. Customers have been requesting that we expand into Miami and now we can satisfy their needs.”

The new cloud location in Miami is capable of surviving a Category 5 hurricane.

The Denver and Miami locations now join the various locations spread across the world, including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Jose and Reston Virginia, as well as their International locations in Amsterdam, London, Paris, Hong Kong and India.

Last month, Host Virtual expanded its cloud location in Hong Kong, and introduced a new DDoS from Black Lotus Communications, concurrently becoming a member of the Hong Kong Internet Exchange.

Last December, the company in Chennai India had to expand its facilities to increase bandwidth to 1 Gbps per deployed virtual machine. In doing so, they were able to ad support for dedicated private hypervisor servers and other services for their customers.

The cloud that Host Virtual provides to its customers makes it fairly easy for the firm to quickly configure FreeBSD servers, Linux and VOIP applications, along with other hosting applications in a self-service public cloud. Customers that use Host Virtual can connect to any of their cloud locations with a monthly fee, starting at under $10 a month for unlimited usage.
