Acquisition of Networks Now by BlackPoint IT Strengthens its Position in the Pacific Northwest

By Michael Guta

The Pacific Northwest is synonymous with hi-tech, and while almost everyone knows Microsoft, there are many other companies in the area that provide service to local and regional individual and business that many not sound as familiar.

BlackPoint IT Services is one of the oldest IT service providers in the area with more than three decades of experience. The acquisition of Networks Now will give it a larger clientele so it can provide more services to the new acquired customers.

BlackPoint provides Managed IT Services, Consulting Services, Managed Print Services, Cloud Services, Healthcare, Small & Midsize Business, Finance and Legal services. The company offers its years of experience to give local companies the same type of service as large enterprises without the associated cost.

The Managed IT Services, for example, gives SMBs business continuity to protect their company from downtime with a disaster recovery storage solution for every size organization. Additionally, the company offers cloud services and Hardware-as-a-Service so you can start your business without the expenditures associated with the purchase of hardware and software.

"We are excited to welcome the team from Networks Now and look forward to forging new relationships with their clients and delivering exceptional service as their IT partner," said BlackPoint CEO, James Watson.

The company was established in 1997 providing computer and peripheral repairs, but it was purchased by James and Lesleigh Watson in 2005 – two former Microsoft employees. Their experience and expertise in Visual Studio and SQL Server gave the company the assets it needed to provide more services.

Network Now has also been in business for a longtime – for a tech-company. It’s been operating since 1987 catering to small and medium-size businesses in the North Seattle area of Washington. With more than 25 years of experience, the company has acquired a large clientele, which will now be under the BlackPoint umbrella.
