CHR Solutions, Inc. is excited to announce it has added a new team of engineering leaders to its company, with individuals they are calling “the very best.”
As a leading provider of engineering and managed services to communications service providers (CSPs), as well as BSS/OSS and cloud technology, CHR is constantly looking for new and talented additions to its leadership, and the company has done it again.
“We are thrilled with the caliber of excellence in the team we have assembled,” said Sean Fitzsimmons, executive vice president for the infrastructure services business unit at CHR. “This new leadership has the talent and experience to help our clients succeed in the design, build and management of their legacy and next-gen networks.”
The new team Fitzsimmons has helped bring to the company has more than 100 years of combined experience in the engineering industry, and are licensed in 48 states.
“We sought out the very best in the business to continue our seventy-five year legacy of rural Telco network engineering and the commitment we have to our Tier 3 clients,” Fitzsimmons added. “In addition, we brought on highly respected and acknowledged leaders to continue our growth into the Tier 1 and 2 markets, as well.”
So just who are these shining stars?
In order of experience, CHR has enlisted Patrick Sims, James Kovaly, Michael Beecher, Sam Harlan, and Deborah Crawford to bring their combined history of engineering, design and construction on more than 60 FTTP statewide and regional fiber network projects to the company.
Patrick Sims has been hired as principle business consultant for CHR, and brings with him 35 years of industry experience, including his time at xDSL and Tyco Electronics, as well as his co-founding role for the North American Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council, where he also sat on the Board of Directors. In his new position, Sims will be responsible for the development strategies of end-to-end technical solutions in FTTH, wireless development, and smart grid technologies in the access communications markets.
James Kovaly has a total more than 25 years of experience in network engineering and technical sales development behind him, the bulk of which was spent at Cisco Systems. Kovaly led a team of more than 30 systems and consulting engineers at Cisco, driving technical sales of networking products, solutions and services for both the Tier 2 and Tier 3 service provider segments.
At CHR Kovaly will work in many of the same divisions he previously held leadership positions for, including systems engineering, network consulting, systems engineering management, technical sales operations, and IPTV solution development. Kovaly was also a senior account manager at CCI Systems.
Michael Beecher will serve as senior vice president for engineering and systems integration in the infrastructure business group at CHR, where he will leverage his global experience in operations, strategy and business development spanning more than seventeen years. Beecher has held two positions at Tyco Electronics, formerly known as ADC Telecommunications, where he served as vice president and general manager of EF&I operations, and more recently spent 18 months as vice president of outsourced services and business development for the company.
Sam Harlan will be serving as vice president of engineering for CHR, with more than 15 years of prior experience at the company. Harlan will be involved with wireless design, electronic equipment designs, RUS Loan Designs and coordination with RUS to receive funding for both traditional and broadband loans. As vice president of engineering, Harlan will also be responsible for the staff of professional engineers, who will perform design consultation, quality control and client satisfaction.
CHR’s new vice president of engineering operations is Deborah Crawford, who has 14 years of experience in engineering management roles, including time overseeing the start, acquisition, and integration of multiple telecommunications companies. Crawford has developed and modernized networks to keep up with technological advancements, and has helped establish increased efficiency and innovation in complex IP logical services for a host of clients.
