Yorktel Hires Daniel Missbrenner as VP of Commercial Sales in Western U.S.

Provider of video managed services, Yorktel, today officially appointed Daniel A. Missbrenner as vice president of Commercial Sales for the Western Region in the U.S. This puts Missbrenner in charge of extending the company’s footprint in the Western U.S. market, as well as overseeing operations in the area.

Missbrenner received high praise from Yorktel chief executive officer Ronald J. Gaboury, who stated that Misbrenner, “brought a unique combination of technical acumen and sales expertise to his work that consistently exceeded expectations, and contributed to widespread enterprise adoption of unified communications.”

Indeed, Misbrenner is credited as one of a small number of executives who helped usher in next generation cloud technology widely used today, including unified communications, IP video conferencing and as-a-service integrated multimedia.

Furthermore, as regional sales director and global account manager for Polycom, Misbrenner helped develop and implement a new high-touch sales model that was responsible for setting company sales and account revenue records. In his first year in this position alone, he was able to help Polycom’s regional business grow by 81 percent.

Misbrenner also held executive roles at 8x8 and VBrick systems, two communications leaders and Yorktel partners, serving as vice president of Strategic Alliances for the latter.

“We are excited to welcome Dan to Yorktel and look forward to the exponential growth his enthusiasm and relentless pursuit of excellence will bring to the western region,” added Gaboury.

Yorktel is a recognized innovator and video solutions accelerator that integrates and manages highly functional, customizable and scalable enterprise-grade video systems. This includes solutions from video conferencing to streaming, from video event production to digital signage.

Yorktel’s video conferencing and unified communications solution is designed with video as an IT application as opposed to a parallel, standalone application. This makes video more useable, manageable and operational like any other application on a network. Yorktel also offers solutions tailored to the government and public sectors.

Meanwhile, the company’s services include managed, cloud and media services, such as VideoCloud, which was introduced in October at MSPWorld 2012 in Austin. VideoCloud offers industry-leading hosted video conferencing bridging, tailored to business, government and enterprise users.

Recently, Yorktel was recognized by Systems Contractor News as the sixth largest systems integrator in the U.S. and Canada in 2012.
