Cyber security threats including viruses, botnets, worms and hackers affect the Internet. To remove concerns among businesses and to combat these risks, AT&T is providing a suite of Managed Security Services and security consulting capabilities, Current Analysis said its June 2011 report.
Current Analysis said that the telecom service provider AT&T is enjoying a unique position in the virtualized cloud security segment. The operator has expanded its capabilities, while enhancing its platform and operational support throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
“AT&T has one of the industry's strongest managed security portfolios,” said Amy Larsen DeCarlo, principal analyst, Security and Data Center Services, Current Analysis, in a statement. “The provider brings extensive security expertise to customer engagements, with a support team of over 1,500 dedicated security experts.”
In the AT&T “Managed IP Security Services” product assessment, Current Analysis recognized AT&T's security capabilities.
The portfolio of managed security solutions include AT&T Internet Protect, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Defense, Secure E-Mail Gateway Service, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Service, Endpoint Security, Network-Based and Premises-Based Firewall Services and more.
Supporting customers with security analysis and consulting solutions, AT&T assists businesses to identify risks, analyze threats and develop security strategies.
AT&T continues to invest in enhancing its Managed Security Services, adding features like Security Event and Threat Analysis to offer notifications of prioritized events, based on level of risk to the customer.
For AT&T, cyber security is essential to maintaining the integrity and reliability of its own global network.
Recently, AT&T announced it will sell Cius, the mobile tablet from Cisco. Targeting the business customers, the Cius will be available from AT&T starting in the fall of 2011. The Cisco Cius is designed for the needs of enterprises whether it’s being used in a main office or remotely.
