Zyrion Adds Multi-Tenant Netflow Module for MSPs to Monitoring Solution

Cloud and IT monitoring solution provider for managed service providers (MSPs) Zyrion Inc. announced today at MSPWORLD that it has added multi-tenant capabilities to its Traverse fault and performance monitoring platform. The company has incorporated Netflow integration into the platform, making it the first multi-tenant Netflow module for the MSP industry.

The Netflow and SFlow network protocols collect IP traffic information, vital for MSP monitoring solutions. By enabling traffic analysis at the network level, "last mile" troubleshooting is enabled for distributed applications like response delays among inter-computer queries.

Some monitoring platforms already feature loose Netflow integration, but Zyrion's is the first to incorporate a multi-tenant Netflow module for use by MSPs. The integration module enables independent, distributed Netflow connectors to be configured and managed through a single console. A multi-tenant design makes the Netflow module essential for MSPs and enables them to provide a single console to manage all of their customer networks while automatically relating Netflow data for each customer to their application performance.

The Netflow module is already available and shipping for the Zyrion Traverse MSP monitoring solution. It is being used by MSP Netelligent (News - Alert), Inc., a Zyrion partner. Netelligent aims to help clients focus on their core business by offloading IT services like voice, video, storage and server virtualization. The company works to determine which model of IT consumption best benefits its client’s organizations, from in-house deployment to network management to complete outsourcing to the cloud.

"We find the multi-tenant Netflow functionality extremely useful in troubleshooting end-to-end services for our customers," said Luke Johnson, vice president of services at Netelligent, a Zyrion MSP partner. "The seamless integration and drill down from a high level service view to a Netflow analysis screen within Traverse has greatly reduced the mean time to restore for our customers."

"By adding a multi-tenant Netflow monitoring module, Zyrion is offering a compelling value proposition to managed service providers," said Dennis Callahan, senior enterprise software analyst at 451 Research. "Service Providers need monitoring tools that support their distributed and diverse customer base, and can provide performance metrics on multiple customer instances through a single console."

"Our managed services partners are moving higher up the stack and monitoring complex distributed applications for their customers," said Vikas Aggarwal, CEO of Zyrion Inc. "By integrating our fault and performance monitoring platform with Netflow and similar packet based solutions, they get a seamless and instant drill down from high level performance dashboards to packet based Netflow data for troubleshooting. This has a direct impact on the mean time to recover for IT services."
