Cricket Communications Selects Aepona's NaaS Offering

Cricket Communications (News - Alert), a prominent mobile operator in the U.S., has selected Aepona for its Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) offering. Application and content providers will be offered simplified access to Cricket Communications’ network competences, powered by Aepona’s NaaS solution.

Aepona’s NaaS offering will act as an enticement, through which Cricket will be able to draw developers and content providers to its network. Aepona’s NaaS offering will allow application developers and content provider to develop a broad assortment of exhilarating, distinguishable applications and services.

The NaaS offering will also support Cricket when it uses its network, billing and informational resources in a novel and pioneering manner. Based on Aepona’s API Monetization Platform or AMP, the NaaS offering has been implemented as a hosted, completely managed service.

Aepona has launched an Application Ecosystem Program, wherein the organization’s Service Provider clients can connect with the developer community. This association ensures that the developer community can clearly understand the service provider client requirements. They are also able to incorporate corresponding mobile network capabilities to their apps.

Cricket will now receive help in developer promotion, enrollment and onboarding through Aepona’s Application Ecosystem Program.

“We are very excited to be extending our existing relationship with Cricket toward a fully-fledged NaaS solution, helping them utilize their core network assets and open up new channels to market through partnerships,” said Kevin Wagner, senior VP and general manager for Americas Sales at Aepona. “We look forward to closely working with Cricket in making their NaaS offering a success.”

Aepona is a major global organization offering the monetization of cloud and network services. A minimum of 25 Service Providers across the globe have implemented Aepona’s software platforms.

These platforms allow service providers to expose, supervise and monetize their network, billing and informational resources in the form of cloud-based APIs. They’re also able to collect, provide and deal a comprehensive list of products and cloud services through their sales channels.

Service providers can distinguish their solutions from Aepona’s offerings as well.
