Rebel Prepares to Launch Business Cloud Box, a Cloud Management Solution for SMBs

Rebel Networks, a leading provider of outsourced Internet infrastructure and other related managed web solutions, has announced that it has developed a small and medium-sized business cloud-based application called Business Cloud Box (News - Alert), which will provide seamless management of their cloud products using a single control panel.

According to the president and CEO of Rebel Networks, Domenic Macchione, the application is part of the company’s cloud computing plan that has been ongoing aimed at taking “numerous cloud services and bundle and unbundle them as per customer requirements.” To enter into the small and medium-sized business cloud space, Rebel Networks hopes to position itself as a vendor with its custom tailored solutions. Domenic Macchione sees many customers “trying to manage all sorts of cloud services” like e-mail, Web portals, storage and mobile apps from multiple vendors which requires the use of multiple logins and passwords as inefficient. He says that Business Cloud Box will seamlessly integrate these cloud services and using a single control panel, this will help customers select the services they need that match their requirements.

A cloud management solution like Business Cloud Box is a useful tool for both end users and cloud service providers. Cloud service providers will be able to sell to a built-in marketplace for small and medium-sized businesses that are customized to their needs. Other companies that have taken a similar approach include RightScale and ScienceLogic, who have developed comparable solutions and are currently partnering with cloud service providers to help integrate their solution into their portals. The RightScale myCloud connects private cloud infrastructures with RightScale public cloud partners like Rackspace (News - Alert) and AWS, helping increase the speed and reliability of delivering comprehensive cloud environments. ScienceLogic’s integrated solution unifies cloud and data center management thereby offering insight into all aspects of IT operations, whether in the cloud or the data center.
