Global Full-Service Web Hosting Company Selects RagingWire Data Center

DreamHost, a global full-service Web hosting company, has selected RagingWire Data Center for colocation Web hosting.

The firm has contracted to become an anchor tenant in RagingWire Data Centers’ new Northern Virginia campus, known as “The Bolt.”

Thanks to this next-generation, critical facility – engineered for 100 percent availability with 21 megawatts of highly available facility power – DreamHost will now be able to extend and enhance its hosting and cloud services and improve end-to-end network performance, particularly for its East Coast and European customers.

Officials with DreamHost said the company brings a unique blend of advanced systems and customer service to the Web hosting industry.

DreamHost is a renowned Web hosting and cloud services provider, with over 330,000 customers and 1.2 million domain names hosted worldwide. The company manages over one million website domains, including top .com, .org, .net and .info sites.

“DreamHost is expanding rapidly worldwide with our unique mix of smart and creative software development, flexible infrastructure and passionate support for open source platforms and applications, including Linux, OpenStack, WordPress and Ceph,” Simon Anderson, CEO at DreamHost.

“We chose RagingWire for our Virginia data center partner because they have cleverly innovated their power, cooling and physical infrastructure to deliver ultimate reliability for our Web and cloud hosting network and servers,” he added. “And the people at RagingWire are pretty cool as well!”

RagingWire is recognized in the industry for designing, building and operating mission-critical data centers. Its Northern California and Ashburn, Virginia data center facilities feature the most technologically advanced and energy efficient infrastructure available in the data center industry.

“DreamHost offers exceptional hosting products and superior customer service for the individual blogger and Web designer, all the way up to enterprise applications,” said George Macricostas, chairman, CEO, president and co-founder, RagingWire.

“We share their commitment to enterprise-level reliability and are proud to have been selected as their data center platform in Ashburn, Virginia,” said Macricostas.
