Systech International Acquires SaaS and Cloud Services Provider, Apostrophe Systems

Provider of Packaging Execution System (PES) technology, Systech International announced it has acquired Apostrophe Systems. Apostrophe is a specialized SaaS (News - Alert) and cloud services provider.

The acquisition will help Systech to strengthen its position in the cloud services serialization market. Systech's technology is designed to protect product integrity and authenticity, and the company is a recognized leader in the serialization space.

The companies are a natural fit, and customers have run Systech and Apostrophe systems together for more than six years. Apostrophe specializes in serialization and RFID, providing software applications and tools for partners and integrators that enable them to implement functionality via a services-based model that leverages cloud technology for scale and flexibility.

Systech's technology is designed to optimize profitability, meet global regulatory demands and maximize supply chain efficiencies. Serialization is the process of generating, encoding, verifying and managing a unique identity on the smallest physical package.

Apostrophe's Yuda platforms are virtualized and deployed on EC2, VMWare and Zen. Images and can run on any high-availability cloud platform. The company's cloud-based serialization services are designed to simplify deployment, upgrade and service issues, and are made to operate remotely while still being able to interact with local scanners, readers and printers.

Moving beyond hosted applications, the cloud services solutions ensure that no data sharing, hardware sharing or bandwidth sharing is going on behind the scenes, and each solution for each customer is completely virtualized and dedicated to that specific customer. Solutions may be deployed globally, with geo-location options available in the east and west coasts of U.S., the EU, Singapore and Japan.
