Prime Focus Technologies Takes the Scene in South Africa

Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), a leader and the authority in digital content solutions, just allied with one of the biggest ISPs in South Africa, a provider known as LaserNet. This agreement between the two companies will introduce PFT's CLEAR platform for unified content to LaserNet. All supporting services will also be included, allowing LaserNet to offer tons of multimedia content such as movies.

This new alliance strengthens the impression that PFT knows what it's doing when it comes to high-tech innovation and running its own content operations, but it also shows us that LaserNet holds its own with its clients and its superior Internet networking infrastructure. These two great companies have decided to take a leap forward together making South Africa a more digitized country with the help of highly accessible media and Internet solutions packaged into one sweet deal.

PFT's CLEAR platform also lets South African content providers expand their earning potential, make their market more efficient, reduce their operating costs, and distribute their content through new venues with a file-based platform. The file-based system will help content businesses make more capital because of their digital presences.

"Since LaserNet as an ISP has deep relationships with all the major media and entertainment players in South Africa, and shares our vision of the Digital future, they were our natural choice of partner for this region," says Founder & CEO of PFT, Ramki Sankaranarayanan. "We are really excited about this strategic alliance. Bringing the CLEAR platform to South Africa -- a gateway to Africa -- will have a profound effect on how organizations in the region are able to manage the business of content."

"The South African Media and Entertainment industry is ready for digital migration, and a transformation in the way it operates," said Ivan Bridgens, Founder, LaserNet. "After a thorough evaluation of the solutions available globally, we chose to bring CLEAR, Prime Focus Technologies' Hybrid Cloud Technology platform, to South Africa. Having already established a network linking all the major media players in South Africa, LaserNet will now mount the CLEAR Hybrid Cloud based technology platform on its network, to manage the content and workflows of its customers."
